All TWP course descriptions should do the following:
- position writing as central to the work of the course
- provide students with a strong sense of the kinds of writing projects they will encounter
- convey course content in the description in such a way as to be accessible to a wide range of readers, including first-year students and/or English Language Learners (i.e.,avoid jargon, define terms, and use idioms and cultural references with restraint)
