Get Your Writing Moving: Health and Well-Being

February 1, -
Speaker(s): Sarah Wilbur
Movement, rhythmic games, and improvised dancing to music activate our brains and encourage us to consider our bodies as our teachers-to notice what information our bodies are giving us. When writers consider bodily habits during writing, we can work on patterns that lend our body support and can enhance productivity and positive experiences writing. In this workshop, participants will learn simple movement and dance steps to provide brain stimulus and enable us to harmonize with others in the space. Includes dedicated writing time for participants to practice the strategies. Facilitator: Sarah Wilbur, Duke Dance Program
